Kids Teledentistry
Some appointments don't need a waiting room. Secure video, audio, or text visits bring our team to your couch — for quick questions, check-ins, and calm first introductions.
The appointment that comes to you.
Teledentistry uses secure video, audio, or text so our team can hold a dental visit with your family remotely — no car ride, no waiting room, same careful attention.
Not every treatment can happen through a screen, but a surprising amount can: answering a question that's been nagging you, looking at a sore spot, checking on healing after a procedure, or deciding how soon your child actually needs to be seen. It also widens the door to care itself — roughly a fifth of Americans live in rural areas without easy access to a dentist, and virtual visits help close that gap.
Less driving. Less dreading. Less missing school.
Children ages 5–17 miss nearly two million school days a year to dental problems. A visit from the couch keeps small concerns from costing a whole afternoon.
Care from home
Your child is seen from their own couch — no packing everyone into the car for a question that takes ten minutes to answer.
A gentler first hello
Nervous first-timers can meet us from the safest place they know, then graduate to an office visit already knowing our faces.
Small things stay small
Easier access means concerns get looked at sooner — and issues are caught while they're still simple to address.
Habits, coached live
We teach kids why daily care matters and exactly how to do it well — screen to screen, in their own bathroom-mirror world.
The visits that work by video.
Consultation, evaluation, education, and triage — here's where families reach for a virtual visit most.
Consults & introductions
A relaxed way to meet us, talk through a concern, and help your child feel at ease before any office visit.
Urgent triage
Not sure about a bump or a toothache? We help you decide — office visit, ER, or watchful waiting at home.
Exams & evaluation
Many concerns can be examined, evaluated, and diagnosed remotely — with a clear next step either way.
Prescriptions
For minor problems, we can prescribe what's needed and send it straight to a pharmacy near you.
How a virtual visit works.
An initial consultation can take an hour or more — which is exactly why it's so pleasant to do from home.
-
We review the history
We gather your child's medical and dental history, reviewing their file and any past X-rays or records.
-
You describe the concern
What's going on, how it started, and what symptoms you're seeing — in your own words.
-
You send photos
A few pictures of the area from different angles help us assess things as accurately as possible.
-
You get a plan
We recommend the next step — come in, care for it at home, or a prescription — and coach you on home care either way.
Private by law, not just by promise
HIPAA requires every teledentistry session — audio, video, phone, text, and shared photos — to use encryption and a secure cloud server. Your child's information is accessible only to the dental professional in charge of their care.
Teledentistry questions, answered.
No — and we'll be upfront about it. Many treatments can't be done remotely, so virtual visits shine for consultations, evaluations, and follow-ups. If your child needs hands-on care, we'll set up an office visit and pick up exactly where we left off.
Yes. HIPAA requires every session — audio, video, phone, text, and photos — to use encryption and a secure cloud server. Only the dental professional in charge of your child's care can access their information.
Any secure way to reach us works — email, messaging, phone, audio, or video chat. No device at home? Many families connect from a library, school, or community center. We'll find a way to reach you.
A virtual visit is a fast way to sort out next steps — we'll help you decide whether the situation needs an in-office visit or the ER. If it's urgent, we'll have you come in; children are seen the same day for urgent tooth trouble. For minor problems, we may prescribe treatment and walk you through home care.
Virtual appointments are generally covered by most plans, much like in-office visits — though not every plan includes telehealth. We recommend confirming with your provider, and our front desk is happy to help you check before you book.
