CarlsbaDDS Pediatric Smiles opened in Carlsbad Village in 2008 with one conviction — the best cavity is the one that never happens. Eighteen years later, it still decides everything we do.

How It Started

It began in a mobile clinic.

It was the Children's Mobile Clinic that set Dr. Linh Tsai's course — case after case of problems that never had to happen. The lesson stuck: the most meaningful dentistry happens before anything hurts.

She completed a two-year pediatric residency at USC, earned board certification in 2007, and in 2008 opened CarlsbaDDS Pediatric Smiles on Carlsbad Village Drive — a practice designed around prevention rather than repair, where children learn to feel at ease in the chair long before anything ever needs fixing.

Eighteen years later the practice has grown — two board-certified pediatric dentists, a team parents know by name, and the trust of dentists across Vista, Carlsbad, Oceanside, and San Marcos, who send their own smallest patients here. The belief hasn't moved an inch.
